Questions about capabilities and materials
Which materials are always in stock?
Cold-rolled, ground & hot-rolled stainless steel (304 and 316)
Pickled and black carbon steel (DC01, DD11, S235 and S355)
Aluminium (AlMg3) and anodised aluminium (AlMg1)
Electrolytic steel (Zincor)
Sendzimir galvanized steel (Galva)
Need other materials? If we don’t have them in stock, you can request them.
What about thick sheets, large dimensions, complex contours?
Whatever your requirements, you can contact us for all customization work in laser cutting. With our extensive laser machinery with integrated CAD-CAM equipment and our 20 years of experience we can guarantee smooth production with accurate tolerances. (ISO 9013 class 2)
In addition to various CO2 lasers we also use a 6kW fiber laser. It cuts thin to medium thick metal sheets - up to 30 mm thick in aluminium sheets.
Holes, smaller than half the plate thickness, are engraved and shown in blue on the quotation.
Since laser cutting allows for very fine cuts, you can even have the most complicated shapes cut efficiently.
We can cut your sheet metal up to a maximum size of 4,000 x 2,000 mm.
What are the possibilities for bending a piece of metal?
We can bend steel, stainless steel and aluminium up to 10 mm thick and up to 4 meters long.
We bend your materials on a bending machine equipped with an optical angle measurement instrument and automatic bend correction, for the best bending results.
Upload your original drawings from Inventor, Catia V4 & V5, Creo Parametric, Parasolid, SolidEdge, Solidworks or Unigraphics and we will create your project. You can also add further relevant information by means of a PDF drawing, if you want.
Bending tolerances depend on the complexity of the product: Up to 500 mm +/-1 mm, from 500 to 1000 mm +/- 2 mm, over 1000 mm +/- 5 mm
Engravings and bending lines are shown in blue on the quotation.
We will check the manufacturability of your product upon receipt of your order.
Do you need assemblies, tubes or further processing, such as tapping and chamfering? Please contact us so that we can discuss the possibilities and the specifications together.
Questions related to the submission of drawings
How do I provide correct drawings?
In order for you to receive a quote quickly, it is necessary that the digital drawings are drawn in a correct way. It is important that the contours are closed and that the drawing does not contain any frames, sizes or edits. Use this link to consult the guidelines for the correct delivery of drawings.
What kind of drawings can be used for requests for quotations?
I need a quotation for laser cutting alone. Which drawings can I provide?
Upload a 2D drawing per piece in one of the following file formats: dxf, dwg, step.
I need a quotation for laser cutting and bending. Which drawings can I provide?
Upload a 3D drawing per piece in one of the following file formats: .dxf, .dwg, .stp, .step.
Why can’t I upload any assemblies?
The system cannot read specifications for materials and thickness from the supplied drawings. Specifications for materials and thickness should be entered in the portal.
I have received an e-mail saying the drawings are not closed. What does this mean?
With the exception of the engraving lines, all lines on the parts that are uploaded must be closed. Each part must be drawn on a single layer and only that layer should be visible. All other layers, e.g. with frames and sizes, must be hidden. Each drawing may only contain a single piece. You can use a layer named ‘engraving’ if you want to highlight or add a text reference to your part.
Can I have a reference engraved on the material?
A marking can be applied to the parts if desired. These markings must be indicated in a layer called ‘engraving'. Markings are displayed in blue on the quotation.
